Hey Jeff, lighten up. If a guy wants us to think his fish is bigger than it actually was, he'd just lie about the size, and how would we know? Anybody can tell those were good fish. I'm all for making the fish the centerpiece of the photo. I don't like looking at the fisherman as much as the fish, and you certainly don't want to be looking at me (I've got the perfect face for radio). I don't care how big a fish I catch, I'm never going to be able to make it look big next to me, no matter how I hold it, so there goes your perspective. All I'm saying is it was pretty obvious those were a couple of good fish, so I for one congratulate him.

Esoxcop, I was wondering if that fish had been snagged this year, it looks like hook marks in its back. Good Luck Dave

I have never discounted the fact that those were some nice piggies, rest assured it is all light-hearted joking around, hence the smilies in my post above. Of course I compliment the catches as well. I have no interest in viewing the fisherman either, IMO it just looks really silly to hold the fish that way. It's what kids do to make their fish look bigger. Seems quite a few agree. Have a great day, -JR

And obviously a few disagree as well. Didn't know if it was all lighthearted or not with the continued shots. We're cool. You've had some success also recently - good job. Tough conditions yesterday I thought, makes it even more impressive.

I would have to disagree....I would take any muskie over a sunfish anyday!! To each his own.......as a multi-species angler & hunter I guess I appreciate a trophy when I see one. My little tiger a page or so back on this thread weighed less than this sunfish..... JRedig: You've made your point well known on perspective regarding the photography of fish; please move off the topic. I do not want to discourage the sharing of photos here due to criticism & critiqueing from fellow FMers. It's all meant to be in fun and sharing a great experience on the water. Thanks.....

I had moved on, pretty sure other's keep bring it back such as yourself?? It was an honest question as to why hold it that way, I don't get it. Poked a little fun with some pics of recent catches, no harm intended. Take a deep breath guys, it's just the internetzzz..... -JR

46" 7/5/08 A very busy metro lake that quieted down enough to fish once the sun was gone...
