Today my daughter and I saw what we believe to be is a Northern Harrier sitting next to Hwy 14 between Rochester and Byron. I even made a u-turn, went back and drove up and stopped to look at it. Sadly, he took off while my daughter had the binoculars and I didn't get a real close look at him. No camera available either. NUTS!!! Anyway, this is a first for me and I was impressed.

Lew, harriers are gorgeous and graceful, and because they hunt and hover low to the ground they can be a lot of fun to watch. Congrats on the sighting!
