Ive been doing some research and found that Big Marine has the potential for some pretty deacent northerns, but is there a walleye bit on this lake, i know there in there but ive never heard of anyone catching much of nothing. I got one wally a few years back trolling for northern, so, does anyone have any tips on pointerson where to start on this lake. I would really appreaciate it

The lake has a population of both, but tend to be small.. The lake has a very good population of pike, but again, good luck catching one over 3-5 lbs.

I was working there today, water clarity looked nice, seemed to be less houses on the lake than I would have expected. Might have to get out and fish there sometime, if only for the fast action of hammer handles \:\)

How's the bass population?

Bass population is quite good, but again, not run on the smaller side.. most tournaments I have fished in there it really only takes slightly larger than a 2 lb average to win. However one time I did weigh 17.5 lbs for 5 fish...

Big Marine is a very good bass lake...!! For walleye opener you might try dragging lindy's around the west side of that mid-lake island. There's some sand out there that hold fish early on. The shallower the better though, this early. Good luck !
