My buddy and I took a 16' alum boat out with a trolling motor last weekend and were able to go out of the North access on Blue Lake to get to Little Blue. All of the big part of the lake was still ice, but Little Blue was almost all open. When we got out there we could not get to the 10' hole on Little Blue. the deepest we could get was 5'. I am sure by now Little Blue should be open.

Was just on Blue yesterday Eve. managed 9 crappies for the Pan. All were around 9 to 9.5 inches. Had to sort through quite a few small ones along with some small gills. The water was 44 degrees in the first spot i tried and there were no fish. I went to the windy end of the lake and found 46 degree water and caught fish. They were biting very slow, had to use a Ratso instead of the usual 1/16 oz jig and Power Monnow. Should only get better as the water warms.

I was out from 3-630 basically in little blue....was in the fiberglass tan/black boat with a 120 johnson on the back...just curious if you were in the lund tooling around or the grey fiberglass or the older alumnacraft???? I will try out there again a few times this week...

Ozzie, I was in the alumacraft. There were alot of fish up in the channel that was right behind me. Everytime a muskrat swam through or a bird flew over they would spook and go darting every which way. I tried to go up the channel but only made it half way before i pretty much bottomed out. It was only about 6 inches deep where i turned around. There is a pond at the end of the channel that was holding alot of fish. I am curious as to weather or not the pond may be a little deeper. So i just ended up setting up in front of the cahnnel and was catching fish in about 2 to 3 feet of water. I was just getting them on Ratsos Pink head with white body. Had to sort through alot of small ones though. Let me know how you do if you get out this week. I am going to go to Blue on Sat or Sun if the weather is OK.

What channel were you trying to go through? The one on the north end of little blue that leads to the bay by HWY 5?

was out last night with another buddy and we fished out on the main lake in deeper waters and didn't find a thing- marked fish but they wouldn't bite....i am going to try it again tonight in my little boat and bring the waders maybe I will try to get back further in that channel and I will let you know how I do.....I would imagine it was pretty mucky in the channel hopefully I can find solid ground to walk the boat through...

Freemont for the carp neighbor guy.....alot of them died but I have seen alot of them have survived.......went to blue on tues and the fish were hanging a little deeper......panfried I set up in the area you were had a few misses then caught about a 6 in shiner and thought that must be what was biting then I caught 2 small bass in a row and moved out and found some fish....pretty active bite until 7:45 or so
