Just wondering how thick the ice is on Clear Lake? Coming down for the muskie tournamnet on April 26th. Is the ice going to be gone by then?

There are still people ice fishing and the ice depth is around 24 inches but failing quickly. The lake is about 1/3 open water. Shouldn't be long with a little wind and sun. The Iowa Walleye Trail had to postpone their first tourney of the season scheduled for Apr 3rd because of too much ice on that lake yet.

IOWA trail starts on Storm I belive on April 6, with a tenative date for the following weekend if the lake is still iced.

Where can I find some information about this? I have never fished it before but it sounds like fun. A chance to get out and fish muskies in April would be great.

I think I will bring my boat down to Iowa and fish either Brushy Creek or Clear Lake when I head down in early may to put my parents dock in.

Does anyone know what time we are suppose to check in at The Other Place on Friday night????? (for the muskie tournament) I tried calling and emailing Chris, but got no answer. Hope someone out there can help. Thanks.

Anyone know how the tournament turned out? We only fished until 9am. My motor wouldn't stay running, so we left and came home. I did have one nice follow on Friday afternoon.
