This litter of 8 Yellow Lab puppies was born on March 3rd. They will be ready to go by April 14th. This was Lexi's 3rd litter.

The past two litters are great pets because of their pleasant dispositions. We have also heard about (and witnessed in several), the natural hunting ability the pups possess. People who own one are extremely happy. This year we used a different sire who also has an excellent pedigree and high degree of natural ability.

The dam is Beste's Lexi Lou. Lexi is 4 years old, weighs 72 lbs., and has a nice yellow coat. She is OFA Good LR158878G25F-NOPI, and her elbows were Normal LR-EL30417F25-NOPI. She started as a guide dog at 9 months old and her desire to hunt is even stronger now. She hunts extrememly hard, quarters well, and retrieves to hand; which makes hunting behind her a pleasure. She is a strong swimmer, which shows in her muscle conformity. Lexi is out of Crow Rivers Mad Max and Arrowhead's Hot Tamale lines. There are 1 MH's, INFC, 5FC, 5AFC, and 2 JH in her pedigree. Also in her line, Westwinds Katie is a dam of 5FC's.

The sire, Sauk River Sweet Music Frank, has an excellent pedigree. He is the son of GMPR MHR Sauk River's Featherstorm. His grandpa is Rik's Risky Raider SH MH 2001 U.S. Open Pheasant Champion. Raider is very well know as one of the top pointing labs in the field. Frank weighs 69 lbs. He has 2 U.S. Open Pheasant Champions, GMPR, 3 FC, plus many more titles in his pedigree. He is OFA and CMNN cleared. Frank has an outstanding bird drive with natural pointing ability. He is also a strong swimmer. He has spent lots of time with people -- including children.

At this time, all 8 puppies are waiting for new homes. The cost is $450 for the females and $400 for the males. There are 3 females and 5 males. The pups were born 3/3/2008 and will be ready for pick-up by 4/14/2008. Dew claws have been removed, and they will be dewormed and have had their first shots. They will each have a written health guarantee when each one is purchased. These pups will respond well to people, as we have a 6 year old son who can't get enough of them! We have already had (and will continue to have) friends of all ages visiting to snuggle and play with them. They will be well socialized. Based on the backgrounds of their parents, we feel they will be excellent hunters and nice pets.

I just had to put my Black Lab Down a few weeks ago. He was a son of Raider also. Mother was Sadie Jo. Incredible Dog! Tank was a Black male and a heck of a pointer.

Put me down for a male. I'm assuming these pups are all yellow? I can live with that, since there is no way I'll ever be able to replace Tank.
