Does anyone partially pinch the barbs down? Particularly on hooks with huge barbs (like described above), I pinch them down about half way. That way they're a lot easier to remove, but still serve some function.

Yes, you'd need to charge each battery separately... you won't have to disconnect anything, but it won't feed between the two.

what i do: start the line on the reel. then have someone walk out whatever length of line you want to reel up, then have them cut the line off the spool, then reel in keeping the line just before the reel tight by pinching it with the hand your not r

As a just in case measure. Most bunks will never move but hitting the wrong bump on the wrong slope could make you look pretty red in the face. Remember "what can go wrong will go wrong".
