Does anyone know anyone looking for a warehouse manager. I would love to get into the fishing business. Maybe be a salesman or distributor. How does one start looking foe these kind of jobs? I have been a warehouse manager for 15 years and we went out of business. My fishing has not been that great and frankly , I'm getting bored. West

I've always been doing the warehouse thing too. Man, I can only imagine taking care of a warehouse full of fishing goodies!...I'd (almost) work for free

The is an outdoors distributor in Sauk Rapids. From what I understand, the pay is not the greatest though.

You might check the UPS website. I have heard that UPS is hiring drivers off the street for their Maple Grove location.

I previously worked for the outdoor distributor in Sauk Rapids when I was in college. The pay is terrible, even for the managers and for the most part managing the employees is a headache. They paid just over minimum wage when I was there and had tons of turnover and people wouldn't show up for work, etc. I worked there for about 3 years and by the time I was done I was making just as much as some people that had beeen there for 15 years.

The only benefit of the job was getting fishing tackle at a discounted price.

Also, CSI which is the place I worked at in Sauk Rapids, was probably the largest sporting goods distributor in the midwest when I worked there. I don't think there are a lot of other places like this in Minnesota.

I'm sure you could get a job there if you wanted it, especially in the warehouse. They usually move people up from the warehouse to the front office for the front office sales or customer service jobs.
