lets get some ice reports going in the south dakota forum this week guys!!!

I got a report. I was on a slough between Clark and Webster Saturday. Wind was about 45mph. Temp dropped about 15 degrees during the 2 hrs I fished. Happiest moment was when I finally got back to the truck. Caught two tiny perch. Fish would barely seperate from bottom but wouldnt hit. Better luck next time.

I fished Diamond Lake South of Madison today. Nothing caught but a huge headache. My Fish Trap was sooo loud flapping in the wind! Plus, I made the mistake of bringing my 3 month old lab Talk about a mess! It sucked. So I too was happy to get off the water today.

Fished on Waubay on 12/19. My brother and I caught about 40 perch. Most were between 10"-13". Also caught 4 walleyes that were 13 1/2"-16". Ice was about 6" thick. Fished from 9am-1pm.

Rost- how thick was the ice on Diamond? I have not been out yet this year. Just remember the more you bring your dog the better he will get.

It was around 4" thick. Very good ice in my opinion.
I fished off the ramp near the old road bed, then moved to the south end off the oil road. I only fished until dark.

I guess my dog was good for the most part. Poor girl didn't know what to think the first time she stepped on the ice!

What part of Waubay where you on? Went to the Refuge yesterday and could only manage a few perch and walleye. They where all over on the vexilar but could not get them to bite.

Fished Diamond today from 2:30 to 6:30pm tonight. Did not have a bite. Marked a couple on the FL-18 though. Had 8in. of ice where I was fishing. I just had to get out.

We were at the refuge. We used a Genz worm with a wax worm. I also used a Rattle Spoon with a minnow head. On Sunday, the perch seemed to prefer the smaller offering but the walleyes hit the spoon.

Is there any snow on the ice to run a snowmobile on? Thanks
