My little b***h came into heat today, she will be brought to St. Cloud next week to be bred (hopefully). If anyone here is interested in a pup they will be available probably around the second week of March. Right now I am thinking they will probably go 450 for females and 400 for males. As of right now I have two pups spoken for. If you would like info on either the Sire or Dam please let me know and I can try to give as much info as possible. I will be setting up a "meet and greet" with my female at a game farm sometime in December so anyone interested can watch the mother on some live birds. Please send any questions to:

Yeah! We had a successful breeding, and pups should be on the ground around the first of February. We are taking reservations for pups. Both dogs are heavy in Tekoa Mountian Sunrise, Temoka and The Performer. The sire Berg Brothers Jack, just won the Great Lakes regional championship and multiple other trials this year in Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Last week there was a nice article on him in the American Field. If you are interested in a pup or know someone that is, please feel free to give me a call, I'm not a breeder. This is a one time breeding, then my female is going to be spayed. I just wanted to make sure I got a pup out of her. Thanks for looking.

P.S. These pups should be ready to hunt a little next fall.

Just got back from the vet and we have 8 confirmed puppies in there, maybe a few more....they should be on the ground within the week. Three are spoken for, I will reserve up to 6 before they are born, ya never know about still births ect. If you or anyone else you know is looking for a wonderful bird dog/family pet drop me a line and I can get you some more info. Wish me luck on the delivery of the pups. This is my first time playing doctor, I've watched before, but never got my hands dirty.

Setterguy... Kentucky's offer stands for me too! I'm in the dirt business so not to busy right now, plus I'm not to far from you... if you need a hand let me know....... worked through many, many unforseen instances and have come out O.K. Make sure your vet is/would be available to help out in case of things like Uterin inertia, or a really bad breech (you can usually take care of this at home, but you never know), would he trust you with a shot of Oxytosin to get the labor process going again if she clams up? I have a good book on whelping of pups if you'd like to borrow it to read. I've whelped many litters but still cruise through it before every one to bone me up for the unforseens.

Good Luck!

Ken

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the offers, Ken I just may take you up on that...a guy that lives down the road raises/trains labs and he told me that is would be available any time also..if you could shoot me an email with a phone # that would be great. I am going to contact my vet tomorrow about the shot, I've heard of too many pups lost due to the lack of contractions. I will post results here when we have some more news.

Well, I think tonight is the night. Her temp has been 98 since last night, she hasn't eaten in two days and today was the first time that she went into the whelping box on her own, she hasn't come out except for potty breaks since 10am. Getting pretty nervous, anxious, exited all at the same time. Wish me luck boys, hopefully tomorrow we can break out the cigars.

I have a pup out of Jack (Berg setters) and I have been very happy.I see you like the tri-colors to. Good luck with the pups. My two setters are in their usual place sleeping in the kids beds.

Billjr- Did you have your female bred to Jack or did you buy a puppy? If so who was the Dam? I have been trialing with both Scott and Ben for about 6 years now and know thier line-up well. Are you going to be attending any of the spring trials this year?
