Hi all,
It's only a few weeks away!

I can't tell you guys how much I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.
Here are a few things you'll need to have for fishing the Big "V".

Walleyes;
There should be a very good jig bite going on in early June. My favorite colors are orange/white, pink/white,
green/white, gold and firetiger.

Smallmouth;
Cranks, soft plastics, inline spiners
and jigs will all catch fish. You may
find fish in all phases of the spawn, so be prepaired to make a change in your presentation, to fit their mood.

Pike;
Great time to pound some decent pike.
Look for new emergent vegetation and
work the channels and points adjacent to their spawning areas.
Husky jerks, spinnerbaits, spoons and
soft plastics will get alot of action
and you have a shot at a real gator.

Muskies;
Bucktails, minnow style cranks, small
jerkbaits and spinnerbaits will get
the most attention in early spring.
Of course don't be affraid to throw a
10" jake now and then.

If any of you can bring a little fire
wood along, please do, I think we'll
be spending alot of time telling lies
around the fire pit!

I won't be competing in the fishing this time, but I will be there to compete in the BS Olympics!

If I can help in any way let me know -- I will have my Cell Phone and Radio so I can help with the witnessing of large fish to be released. I should be up there late on Friday night, and I will swing by Guideman's place on Saturday morning.

Looking forward to meeting everyone - and learning more about the Big V.

Steve
