My schedule finaly allows me to get out for some fall fishing this weekend. I did have good sucess on Rice in early September for panfish & eyes. Has anyone been out there lately or know if any other lakes are worth trying?
thanks

It's been over a week for me on the area lakes. Prior to that both Rice and Koronis were kicking out eyes and crappies.

I was out on rice on sat and still lots of small walleyes and crappies. Between my fishing partner and myself we got six keepers and more walleyes under 12in than I could count. Was using redtails and fatheads and the fish seemed to like the fatheads better. I will be back out either sat or sun whatever day is the nicer of the two.

Havent been on the shoe for a couple weeks but the kittys should be close to where you would find them durring the hard water season. I think I might try birch or back to rice this weekend. With everyone in the woods the lakes should be almost empty except for a few diehards.

Tryed rice today and I didnt do so hot. Caught two small walleyes a stinky snake and no crappies in five hours of fishing. I tryed three diffarent typs of minnows and a few kinds of gulp and various other things and could'nt get the fish to bite. I was marking fish all day and saw them on the camera so I knew I was in the right spot but it just was'nt meant to be on this warm November day. I talked to a few other people on the lake and most were having similar luck. I think I might try and make it out one or two more times and try Birch or Kronis this year before the boat goes into storage for the winter.
