I like that reply or Timmy could have explaing to them in long detail how presentation is the biggest factor in success. Size, profile, and color have a factor but are minimal compaired to what the trigger man is doing. There are two ways to get more elbow space - Bore and confuse them to death or scream, yell, and throw things... cool

You guys have given me some great ideas for elbow room. wink
Todd I just talked to Frank nad he's in Syracuse but will be down in his familiar spots walleyeing this evening if you want to give him a hollar. Well Todd and I had a blast today at Bass Pro and I managed to buy twice as many things as Todd. eek Easy to get carried away in there. Stocked up on T-sticks , Shad X-rap's, Kaboom's, plastics, sonars i.e., Heddon and XPS but I found probably one heck of a deal in the ice fishing section and I dam near walked out pulling the trigger on a Clam Kenai, that's one nice motha. The set up is pretty nice for a wide butt bench although I would swap the seat attachment bolts with removable locking pins for better functionality, the tub is definitely upgraded. Overall I think it will be a hot item at $179. cool

For ice fishing electronics they had the Humminbird Ice Series at regular prices and they had two dusty FL-20 Ultra Packs, 12 deg. transducer for only $339 there clearing them out for the new load of MarCum's coming in the next couple weeks. I think at $339 for a flat panel FL-20. That's pretty reasonably priced if anyone is looking for a flat panel. On the way home We stopped at a Mexican Restaurant for Lunch in Oneida. The food wasn't bad and the price was reasonable. Then we shot over Todd's house to get the boat ready for perchin tomorrow. Good luck tonight on the water guys!

Went to my usual spot this evening, got there about 6 and never got a bump or hit of any kind. Finally said I give up at 2am. I had a bad feeling when I got there and should of went someplace else after a couple hours. Well there's always tomorrow.

Timmy - That Keni would drive you nuts! Dont get me wrong it's an awesome unit. But two things to think about.
Width - All those years you fished out of a pro, then to go narrow. We fished for about 12+ years out of our original traps which are the same width of the old scouts or the new Keni's. Now after getting the pros last year the thought of going back gives me the creeps.
More important for you is the height. I checked one out at Gander and believe you'd break every rod you'd own with those he-man hooksets. whistle

Oh and I see the "bar" slowed down? Probably because in the past few weeks there has been about 1,793 eyes taken out of there! Dont worry it will re-fill in a few days...

Well at least I didn't donate any jigs tonight. Tough night for walleye fishing but I hit a couple in the preacher box had 4 hits and connected on these two. They were way out and they wouldn't hit anything other than the Thunderstick Jr.. Nice fishing with you Todd too bad the north shore didn't pay off . When i was in the confessional there was a very light ripple on the water and the wind was starting to turn slightly to the west. I think it might be heating up now but oh well.

These fish were caught an hour apart. I think if I good have had another 20' of depth in my casts I could have been on a few more... wink

Last night rolled 4, no hook ups at the Pier we went to. Bait there and occasional splashes. Caught 4 HUGE rock bass . . . Timmie have you checked the backseat of your van this morning?? LOL The night before "my rock" produced a limit while the boys got 1 each . . .I was home by 0030 . . . a lot of time for not much and morning came fast. Silver black Husky jerk size 5. Its cold out der bruder!! Oh yeah, no wind either the last couple of nights, maybe a little something out of the East. BUT, if you don't go, you don't know.
