I'm looking for some ideas for displaying game bird tail fans. I'm thinking of using a shadowbox and putting in a grouse tail fan, empty shotgun shell, 4x6 inch pic of hunter w/ bird(s).
Thinking of using some thin wood or leather to cover up the base of the tail feathers.

Anyone else ever do or see something like this?

Brian

I did a shadowbox with spurs, empty shotshell, pictures, and tags from my first turkey.

I also mounted the two grouse color morphs on some boards cut by a fellow FMer. It looked pretty cool.

Put a pic up when you're done. Should look pretty cool.

Cool, I was thinking of something to cover up the meaty part and maybe the first 2 inches. I have some drying with 20 Mule Team Borax right now waiting for some inspiring mount. I like the shotgun shell and picture!

Thanks,

Ferny.
