Looks like temps are going to moderate and the wind is supposed to drop off Saturday night and Sunday. Haven't heard much banter on the trolling this fall. I was thinking about making a run up for a little full moon hawging this next week. Tough choices right now with the rut kicking into gear but it sure is fun when you can troll up those big piglets.

I couldn't make it out in October, but might be able to make it up this week. Looks like the weather may moderate a bit. My other option is to stay at home and finish raking leaves in my yard. Hmmmmm.

I didn't make it up as I used all of my free time sitting in the woods. Nearly payed off with a 10 pt but a stick changed my fate:( Now I am hoping this weekend, looks like perfect weather. I am surprised we aren't seeing more people posting about the fall troll like in the past. Either nobody is fishing or the bite is good and nobody is talking grin

I was up that way last weekend. There really wasn't anyone up there. For a full moon weekend I was very surprised. Pretty sure we saw less than ten boats while we were out last weekend. Went out on Saturday night and it was a perfect night for weather, the lake had to be close to glass. Started in one spot and got blanked for close to four hours. Decided to change a bit with the structure that we were fishing and had some success. They weren't jumping in the boat, but it's all about the time you spend on the water.

Fished the northwest and west side last night. One 18 incher. Fished from 9:30pm to 1:30am. We tried #5, and #7 Shad Raps, as well as Husky jerk-baits. Caught the lone walleye on the Husky Jerk in about 8 fow. Beautiful evening though.

nice try whippingpost! i applaud your effort. you never know, maybe they were pushed to the east side from the wind? somewhere on mille lacs people are getting into them and just not talking about it. now is the time to get that trophy!
