Both stores get their wax worms from the same supplier.

As far as location - Wayzata Bait ain't too shabby. I really wish they would redo their bait tanks (stinks in there). They get most of my business as I fish Tonka a ton in the winter and the price on bait is reasonable.
Best bait shop ever I think is Prince bait -IMO.

What is your favorite bait shop in the West Metro? There is one not too far from my home, but I don't care much for it. Looking for recommendations for a "new" one. Thanks! No experience with the summertime, but in the winter the old Food n Fuel @ Hwy 7 and Xmas lake road is now my go to. BP in Mound is #2, Cabin Fever is #3 choice, and Kirby's is #4. This is for when buying live bait only, if I need tackle the list changes. I have never bought bait from Wayzata B&T or Gander, so I don't have a clue how they compare.

The whole bait deal has become pretty crazy! Thats the way all bait stores are starting to play it, I rember like 8 years ago when u could get a dozen large suckers for like $6.50. They were cows at that. Now u cant even find shinners worth a darn for northern fishin in the winter, suckers are to expensive when they want 4 dollers for meadiums at best.

fwiw, for you catfishermen, Moore's bait in S Mpls has bullheads and most of what you'd use for tackle, pretty small place so they don't have a large varity of tackle for anything else, maybe worth a look though.

Al Thanks Al, a lot of us Cat guys know about Moores, and I try to go there whenever I can to support him. But for me the location just doesn’t work out very well on nights that I’m pressed for time. If Bob was closer, he’d probably be seeing my mug every other day. Kinda figured that, but I work about 4 blocks from him and never knew he had bullheads..well, never thought of bullheads as bait until this year when I tried actually fishing for cats..:) Al
