Yea, it would be hard to believe these gun manufacturer's with there regard to there reputation would put a product out there that is inferior.

I can see electronics and such but not guns.

you have to understand that Walmart would be ordering a large quantity (thousands?) of each model from the manufacturer. even if WM tells them how much they want to pay (which they do) its still a good sale.

The guns you purchase at Wal-mart. Are the same guns you would purchase at a gun shop or other retailer.

A gun is a gun. remington does not switch to cheaper parts for a "walmart" line of the 870 express....

we are talking metal and wood. Not rocket science or electronics.

Wouldn't suprise me if it's the same as Sears, Sears makes nothing but sells appliances and who knows what else under their name, that washer that has the Kenmore name more than likely was made by Whirlpool, with sears you can tell by the first three numbers in the model.

Do you know this for a fact or are you just speculating?

Is there a difference between an 870 Express and an 870 Wingmaster? Sorry, but it isn't just metal and wood IMO.

Yes there is a diffferance in an 870 express and a wingmaster. I happen to be a wingmaster man and own several. Both expresses and wingmasters The express has stamped parts and the wingmaster does not. Also the wingmaster has the high finish and the express has the matt finish. Both on the steel and the wood. As far as shooting they shoot the same. If you are going out in the field and crossing barb wire fences, briar bushes, I would use the express. At the range use the wingmaster. Lastly I one in a nickel finish. Looks good but has never been shot! As far as Walmart goes they are the same guns made by the same manufacturer. I bought a BPS 10 ga. in Brookings SD at the Walmart while on my way going goose hunting 10 years ago and have never had a problem with it.

+1 for pumpintheline

and yep.. both are made of wood and metal... perhaps some plastic mixed in grin

A gun is a gun. Plain and simple. and yes. I do know for CERTAIN that there is no such thing as a "walmart" line of firearms.

wouldnt shock me to see it in the future though... sick

If it says Remington on it, then its a Remington.

Onr can purchase an Express or a Wingmaster at most gun shps as it has nothing to do with Wal-Mart.

From a strategic management class I've took and doing tons of case studies on power companies, products sold at WalMart are the same as anywhere else. They just have different product id because WalMart buys in the biggest bulks usually having a company making line dedicated to walmart. Therefore they can sell the cheapest, which they bank off quantity and not on the pricing.

Dude i just wanted to know if any walmarts still sold guns... That swithching parts [PoorWordUsage] is HOGWASH. Ive bought tons of guns from wallmart and there fine, and I paid at least 20 dollers less for each one of them compared to FF or Gander. If you know any walmarts around that still sell guns it would be greatally appreciated... give it a rest.
