Rod - Jason Mitchell rod, best bang for the buck no doubt!

Jigs depend on what species. flutter Jigs from www.outdoorprostore.com are great for crappie and walleye, for spoons, Angle Eye's are great go to jig.

I also like the panfish packages from places like Custom Jigs and Spins, too many people underestimate the power of finess plastics and micro jigs. I only use live bait for Walleye and occasionally perch. Never for panfish on my standard lakes.

Reviewing what I have, I would just put 35 gallons of gas in the pick up so I am ready to rock and roll when first pond has 3 inches of ice on it.

For a new rod I would go with the St. Croix Premier series. Cheaper than the jason mitchell and personally I like them a lot better.

Rod, hands down a Jason Mitchell with a Abu Garcia 100u.

Then I would look at some jigs like the zflutter jigs or a few of the Scenic Tackle Go devils.

Both jigs can be seen here.
http://www.outdoorprostore.com/

Those two jigs will catch most fish.

I would use the money as a start for a proposed weekend trip somewhere. Lake of the woods, upper red, devils lake, chequamegon bay, just to name a few wink

For eyes I like the Jason Mitchell 28" Walleye rod. They have a pretty good deal with the combo.

Sounds like your fishing out of a perm. I hop around from lake to lake with my otter lodge but I also have a perm close to home on a lake with a good night bite. Of coarse I'll have a buddy or two out fishing with me. Point is I'm tuned into the techniques and presentations for which the house sits and they are not. Lucky for me I get a mixed bag of eyes and crappies.
It never fails, while I'm unhooking fish I'll hear "Hey you got another one of those I can use?" Well if you know me I'll say "Sorry Dude last one :)" IMO the 1/8th Go devils are a great one two knock out punch for both eyes and crappies.
Eventually like a good host should I'll "borrow" them a Go devil which I won't see again. Good thing they're relatively cheap and sold in a card of 12.

Hi I have a 10" slush inhaler and need a 9" slush inhaler. If you are interested in a used 10" I live in Baudette.

Let everyone argue about rods. But for reel Cetus Tica's will not be argued. Cetus Tica's are amazing reels. If you dont have one you need to buy a few.

A Tica matched with a Jason Mitchell or Thorne Bros rod and a JM Meat stick for dead sticking

A TB deadstick with either a sedona 500 or a Mitchell Avocet II gold. Either of those are phenomenal setups.
