She has no expierence to run for President. What does that matter? Look who we've got in the Oval Office now! People don't care anymore about who is going to lead what was once the greatest country on the planet...it's all a popularity contest now and I bet half of them on election night were wondering what the number was to text message in their choice as if it were American Idol. There really should be an IQ test given prior to entering the voting booth. Yup. Two of the worse candidates to ever run and pander for high office in 2008 and all we got were slogans of "Hope and Change" and "Maverick." We really are the "United States of Entertainment."

[quote=LMITOUT Plus they saw the economy falling apart and knew that 2012 would be ripe for the picking when this president doesn't get anything accomplished and is one and done. [/quote]
maybe..except by who? i think some leaders are going to have to come along and fix the mess that was /is being created and i see no one on the horizon anywhere. maybe a dark horse will come up by then but i don't see it now considering the GOP helped with this mess.
The GOP dug a hole and gave the shovel to BHO and the dems to finish it
The last president who was like this in my lifetime was Carter. I take back my Bush's third term prediction although they still share alot of similarities
Now that nut franken is in. God help us

You're right about the 2008 candidates...what a bunch of duds. I agree, but that has been common throught my lifetime, and I been voting for almost 40 years. How bad a candidate was John Kerry that he could not beat President Bush after his first term. Also Bush and Gore were both awful choices. If Bush was a good choice he would have blown away Gore after Clinton had stained,in more ways than one,the presidency.

Look at the embezzlement charge being thrown out at the beginning of this topic by an Obama loyalist. No evidence required. Just masde him feel good to throw that out Oh,come now,if I had a dime for every "terrorist" and "muslim" theory that was thrown out about Obama on here prior to the election,I could buy the website! No one ever started a thread about Gingrich calling Sotomayor a racist. No one started a thread about the right wing terrorism involving the killing of the abortion doctor or the murder of the guard at the holocaust museum by a right wing extremist. Calling someone a "loyalist" without ever meeting face to face is interesting, but I won't stoop to personal attacks. Funny,we never bumped elbows while you were in the voting booth with me to see how I voted. It's amazing how all I hear is how America is a "center right" country-everyone says it. Well,John McCain was a "center right" politician-and he lost-badly. Can anyone explain this to me?

Actually there was but it was pulled pretty quickly. Well,John McCain was a "center right" politician-and he lost-badly. Can anyone explain this to me? Sure. He may have lost big in the electoral vote, but not so much in the popular vote. Where do the big electoral numbers come from? Yep, the large metro areas that are primarily democratic controlled. Wasn't it only a couple of percent difference in the popular vote? That isn't "losing badly".

Well,John McCain was a "center right" politician-and he lost-badly. Can anyone explain this to me? Oh. This is going to be easy You are a loyalist. You threw out the hint an embezzlement charge with no evidence only because you "heard it on the internet." The terrorist charge wasn't leveled at obama but at ayres before the election and how much obama had a relation with him. secondly, the muslim charge. i don't remember anyone here claiming he was a muslim. But, what i am hearing is he himself bragging about his "muslim roots." My favorite people in the world are Obama voters. Mccain voters were never under the illusion that he would be any different save for some in the talk radio crowd. But Obama voters.... wow. talk about being truly in love. I thought GWB voters were bad but at least they did an obligatory critisism on the spending and growth of government. It took about 6 years for them to finally see the light. i don't think the true obama believers will ever Lastly, the center right argument. that's based on how people vote on certain ballot issues. most tax increaes, new programs, gay marriage, benefits for illegals, ect tend to favor the conservative side for the most part. also, your guy ran on fiscal responsibility, tax cuts, ect. he never would have won if he told people what he really had planned

People don't care anymore about who is going to lead what was once the greatest country on the planet... This should be pulled as well. As far as me and my family are concerned, this is-and always will be-the greatest country on the planet-no matter who is running it. Would you like to try and fish for Eyes in Morocco? I would never, ever dis the United States of America because I didn't agree with the direction I thought it was heading,or who was leading it. Perhaps you can tell us which country you think is better now?

Lastly, the center right argument. that's based on how people vote on certain ballot issues. Please post for me where that stipulation was qualified before the rhetorical comment was thrown out. People said "Obama is paling around with terrorists" Yes,I'm sure they weren't trying to initiate any bad thoughts there.

People said "Obama is paling around with terrorists" Yes,I'm sure they weren't trying to initiate any bad thoughts there. So your view is "they did it, so we can do it, too." What happened to hope and change??? Well, Bill Ayres said he and the Obama's had a close relationship. If you don't like it, you need to take that up with Ayres. However, this isn't a thread to re fight the 2008 election. that fight and the Ayres issue is over. It's fruitless to bring up Ayres now What's now more pressing is the huge debt, the massive currency printing and devaluing, the weakness on the international front, the creating a hostile business environment, cap and trade, the upcoming amnesty attempt, the massive deficits, the further loss of capital, the increasing unemployment...these are the current issues of today oh, and trying to figure out why palin just got up and quit the governorship
