Shot these over looking Canterbury park tonight. Got my tripod and remote clicker and had at it. The guy at the store told me about the bulb setting so I could switch up the exposure time by holding down the button and watch the exposure count up on the back of the camera.
These are some of the color ful ones.
I found it most difficult to either try to focus on one area or widen it out to catch everything.

It's funny...50 plus pictures and all i want to post is 3. I'm going to take lessons learned tonight and apply on Saturday.

Pretty good for a self-proclaimed rookie! Thanks to you and windowpane for taking the plunge.

You've got a good start! Is that a power line through each shot?

Yes it is a power line. we were sitting across the road and I was just trying to figure out the settings.
I have to go thru the shots now and write down the settings that worked...and try again tonight.

I think you did a great job! I have never tried shooting fireworks, maybe tonight if I feel like walking up to the ones in my area.

Why can't I see any pics? I normally don't have a problem.

Yup,
Trial and error for me is the best learning.
