My first post on FM! Going to be in the area next week for work and would like to know if it's worth bringing my portable up for some night fishing. How's the ice on Ida?

Ida was one of the last lakes to freeze over, but with these colder tempartures holding. I think you could get some fishing in the bays and such. If its next week maybe even out on the main lake. I havent heard much about ida as of yet. Good luck and welcome to FM

Welcome to FM, you will find it a great source of information.
Ida still had open water on the main lake as of Monday. I saw two portables on little Ida. But I would be very skeptical of the main lake for a week or so.
