Has anybody ventured out on the ice by Prescott yet this year? If I remember correctly last year they were fishing out there around mid to late December.

We drove by on the way to P4. It looked largely open. There were a few patches of ice but most of the southern stretch appeared to be completely ice free.

I'll back up Quetico on that. Went by it on Sunday on the way to Pool four, I didn't see any ice.

boat is always ready to roll but not this morning got other things going on, next weekend hitting pool 4

Dang Dan, I think you might have to take up ice fishing. It's a little warmer in a shelter. Though I'm sure we could figure out how to get a shelter on your boat and hit the river all year!!
By the way, waiting for the midget to wake up then we'll head over to your place.
