We got a dusting out that way, literally a dusting. It's not going to hamper that much.

Thats good to know. We got a good deal more than a dusting here in Belle Plaine.

Might go down tonight and punch a hole in front of the landing west of In Towne Marina (where the dock is) and report back tomorrow.

I think you might be the first. Just an FYI to anyone who usually drives on from that access, they put up a fence there this summer so people won't be able to drive on the ice from that access anymore.

There was a good 6 inches of ice 20 or 30 feet out from shore. Might try and get out this weekend in Wac bay.

Fishing Pops, you are correct, there is no longer motorized access at this landing. The fence is there along with a bunch of signs. Unfortunate, because I used this access quite a bit last year.

Wouldn't be surprised if In towne paid for that fence. That way mor people will buy the lake access pass. I buy it anyway because I like how they take care of the roads and such. Plus it is nice to be able to stop and get bait on the shore.

If they had beer, it would be the best place on earth.

With that access blocked, the other access's will see more traffic. They are going to be in bad shape towards the end of the year for sure, they were bad enough already with the traffic they got previous years.

Talked to InTowne Marina last nite, they have not checked ice yet.
Also, there was open water in the bay quite late. Not the whole bay, but a spot where the geese were keeping it open, so ice depths will probably vary out there. That spot was more towards the point though.
