Do you pay sales tax on used ATV purchases? If so, if you trade in another unit, do you pay the tax based on the sale price, less the trade-in??

I think I found my answer - please let me know if I am wrong..  Sales between private parties do not require sales tax from what I found.

You are correct Sean. No tax on the ATV between private parties.

I think you're correct on the second question also. The more equity you put into the new purchase, the less taxes you pay.
