What can I plan on putting into one of these color units? SOunds like a good solid amount of backers behind it.

What can I plan on putting into one of these color units? You mean like price? Look here: http://www.profishingsupply.com/handheldgps/h2oc.htmI think Dave offers a discount if you purchase a chip with it as well.

If you want the minnesota lake master chip, go to lowrance.com, click on mapping, then click on MN lakemaster chip and it shows a list of all the lakes it has.

Their are many, many lakes besides what is on the list. Navionics Premium has over 10,000 lakes on it. Just cause it is not on the list, does not mean the chip does not cover it.

I am sold on this item. Thanks for the heads up guys! I may just order an extra cord right away, although the AA feature is nice for backup

I have the garmin GPSMAP 60CSX and love it. I also have the lakemaster chip and would not ice fish without it. Same one I have also, Same chip also and I'm on the same power cord. Awesome unit.

I hope lowrance makes a new gps. what they have now is good, but seems dated when you look at the garmin line.

You better bet your bottom dollar ! Very nice map and lake (byllesby) I think I counted a total of 3 boat ramps, the most structure is on the East side.

I have the Garmin 76cx and I love it. It floats and can do Lakemaster,Toppo graph and turn by turn. I also got mine through Pro Fishing Supply.

The websites for LakeMaster and Navionics both have lists of the lakes on their map chips.
The H2O is nothing fancy but it is a solid performer geared to fisherman. When you consider its low price (by electronics standards), its solid performance, and just how beneficial it is on the ice in the boat and in the vehicle, it's got to be one of the top "best money I ever spent" things in most guys' collections of outdoor gear.
Garmin makes some really nice gps units with some really nice features. They are great units, no question about it. The extra features come with a higher price tag though, but now that Garmin has their own proprietary version of the LakeMaster chip you will see more Garmins out there.
