Hey guys. I am new to the Crookston area. I just moved up here a couple weeks ago. Anyway, I would like to hit the lakes (Union, Maple, Sarah) or wherever there are fish. I just have no idea where to start.

I have all the necessary equipment (4 wheeler, portable shelter, vexilar, 4x4 truck). I would just like to have someone show me some of the good places to go around here.

I am not interested in keeping a lot of fish. In fact, I would fillet them out and give them to you because I like fish, but my wife does not. So we just don't eat a lot of them. I just want to have fun and catch fish.

If there is anyone in the Crookston area willing to show me the ropes, I would be very appreciative. I would be more than willing to provide gas, food, bait, and beverages (if that is to your liking), or anythinig else if you would show me how to ice fish up here.

I live in Crookston and know a few spots around the area. I may head to Maple on Saturday if your interested. Thinking about leaving town around 9:00am and fishing tell around 3:00pm. Let me know if you are interested and I will get you my contact info.

Thanks for the reply. I was actually planning on doing the exact opposite. I was thinking about leaving Crookston around 2 pm and fishing until after dark. what kind of a house will you be in? i might be out on maple sat night as well

I was out in a Fish Trap Pro. I fished from 4-7:30. Caught 3 crappies and a small perch. Pretty slow. I will probably go out again tomorrow if you want to hook up, let me know.
