PELICAN LAKE IN ORR - QUESTION

I will be staying in Orr on Monday evening for work. Was thinking about bringing some ice fishing gear and walking out to try and catch a few.
First off, what are the ice conditions?
are there any decent fishing spots near the city of Orr with in walking distance. Looking to catch crappies or walleyes.

The ice should be fine--you need to head out of Orr bay to get to good water--head to the west once out of the bay.
