Yeah I was driving by with the kids and the wife and a huge tree we cut at the tree farm near Middle C. -- saw the little guy outside looked like he was having fun.

You had some decent eye action or where they crappies? That is good to see that there are some smaller ones in there.

Pan Man -- I hear you.

Bran --

Too most, Silver is a MAJOR mystery. A lake that can surprise you but frustrate you way too often.

Bran,

There is a good number of springs in that lake, be careful going out there. I've heard that they are mainly along the north side of the lake, but I am not that familiar with it to say for sure. Just a heads up.

I should have said that too -- thanks EyeHunter.

It can be a very dangerous lake if you head to the west. Safer near the access, but watch out for the culvert.

I had a buddy that went across the lake on a sled when it had been VERY cold and should have had a foot of ice -- it did not and he went up and down and that scared the you know what out of him and he just quit going to that lake.

It should have been more than fine, but wasn't.

I was out there today for a few hours and you can sure see the culvert and some of the bad spots, had 6" of good ice right in front of the access and did pretty well!! 4 small eyes' and 10 perch! Thanks for the warnings because I was going to venture a little more, but that doesn't seem like a great idea! Going to the D.L area tomarrow, keep you guys posted! Thanks again fellas!!

How deep does it get infront of the access where you were catching some eyes?

Thanks!

I was out there yesterday and where I popped my holes it was 18 feet... if it had not been so darn windy I would of tried a bit over or closer in. Guy came out about the time I was leaving and where he choose to set up a bit... guess it would of been west of me... he had 14 feet
