Went to Willow Creek at 5:00pm tonight to check the ice thickness, it was 4-5 inches thick (BUT) there is a hole in the middle of it cause of the geese there. I was out on the right side of it about 60yrds out. Ice Fishing is here!

I was out there monday morning , there was only 2" -3" of ice ... Be carefull of where you go cause there are thin patchs of ice in different spots on that res. you must of been on a build up of ice.

There are a few bubble springs that wreak havoc on certain spots out there. The ice doesn't freeze consistently out there. The goose hole is getting smaller and smaller, so the ice as you get closer to the open water will likely be weaker. We need the temp to hit single digits for a few days to push those geese out.

yea thats true, those dang geese just dont want to go away. Thanks for the info guys.
