We currently have anywhere from 6 inches to over 12 inches between us and Doe Island of good clear ice. Due to heavy winds and ice shifting there are a couple of spots still with open water north of this line. If the wind lays down and the forecast holds we will really start to make some ice. We are keeping our fingers crossed, but are optimistic that we will have a staked wheeler path to Doe Island Reef and also to the humps just south of the reef by next week. We will keep you updated as conditions change.

I have a strong feeling I know who that was grin

I he work (or used to) at one of the gas and bait stores in Isle. Kind of a bigger kid with light colored hair, black jacket?

He had a little foreign dark colored car.

Might not be him this year, the last time I seen him he was on foot walking around town in Isle. Nice guy, but crazy when it comes to getting on the ice in that car.
