I am working on my wheelhouse and need to know what is recomended for attaching the floor to the wheelhouse frame, and where to get them. I tried using stainless screws from Fleet,but they broke. I am using one layer of 3/4" treated plywood.

When i built my house i drilled some holes through my frame ran some bolts through the frame and floor and through the sill plate then nutted the bolt. As far as attaching my floor i used stainless screws but drilled smaller pilot holes first, because i had the same problem as you.

try using just any plain old treated screws. 1.5"- 2.5" should be good enough.

I have used self drilling screws for similar projects. I beleive they come in stainless or galvanized as well.

There's a place in ham lake called S&S screw
they sell screws just for that purpose
they are close to hi-way 65 and cr22

WG85, I am doing the same thing, bolting through the sill plate.

fish house supply sells the right screws, dont go with anything less, this is a very important part of your house.

I pre-drilled, then used some decking screws.
