Has anyone been out to Crooked,Coon, or anyplace else in the area yet? Just looking for ice conditions.Wasnt around much last winter and am looking to get out SOON!! Any help would be much appreciated.

Peltier had good walkalbe ice on Saturday. The small perch drove us towards Chisago county within a couple hours.

Been on four bodies of water so far in the past week and found 3-4 inches.

Crooked is still open in the middle due to the city ducks and geese. People are fishing it at the first point from the access and catching potato chip size sunfish.

How far out did you go on Peltier, thinking about going out Saturday with my son. Were you out from the fishing pier?

I was going to go way up north this friday, but with these nice cold temps we're getting I might just hit peltier instead and save time and money. What are the chances of 10 inches of ice by friday?

10" That would be awesome. 5-6 I'm hoping. People were ice fishing out there Saturday and we were duck hunti ng LOL I will check tomorrow for ice thickness.

I would think many lakes will have about 6-7" by Friday, 8-10" maybe next week sometime, but there is going to be thinner spots.

Was out to Coon last weekend and got nothing in the channel with tip ups. there was 5-6 inches of ice and yes some one was out there on a four wheeler, it was only a little 90cc but still.....
They were ventureing outside the channel quite a ways, but we just stayed put. Good Luck
