Does anyone have a report of what Paradise Bay looks like out on Prior? A buddy and I always fish this bay at first ice, as it always locks up pretty good. There are also some crappies and decent sunfish in there too. I imagine the ice is getting pretty good. If anyone has been out there to check, how thick was the ice? Thanks.

About 4 or 5 portables out in the bay today. Didn't get a chance to check things out.

Thanks for the reply. If you get a chance to get out there today to check the ice, please post again.

Info that can't be given out or I would be shot. Take a left at the stop lights by target. Then take another left follow till you hit a T them take a right. There is limited parking back there so get there early. There is a gated access back there you can use to get on the ice.

There is still about 50+ yards of open water at the sand point beach access, just to the west of paradise bay. Pretty early yet.

Theres a spring under their that keeps it open till it gets really cold. I have seen many cars and trucks go thru their in the middle of winter.

Thanks Ace, I kind of figured it was a private beach area that you can access it through. I am waiting to try out Cow Point this winter. I have caught a lot of nice size panfish there in the summer in the boat and the weeds seem to go out to 20 feet. I figure a nice little walk from the landing before the cars and snow machines get out, could result in some fun panfishing.

Wagon bridge bay? Twins57, why don't you just drive by there on your way home...............

Walked out there from the access this afternoon after seeing some tracks this morning. There was around 3-4 inches, and the remains of a bonfire and a lot of beer cans from some inconsiderate kids...might go try it out soon. You can definitely see the weaker ice in the channels though, careful out there!!!!

I've seen plenty of adults do this also. It's a disgrace nonetheless. Pick up after yourself!

4-5 inches of ice and about 10 portables was the status of paradise bay on Tuesday afternoon. I was told that the bite was "slow", but I didnt have time to try it. Ice on the main lake looked pretty shaky to me.
