It has been POUNDED over the past few years.. You may catch a few crappies but the size is not there.... Just my opinion...

That's a fairly accurate opinion given by Beef....

I can tell you i fish out there more then most people and i never target the crappies,, there is some really nice gators and jumbo perch the only problem with the perch is that there are hundreds of worms in eac fish,, have takenthree out of there to the local taxadermist though

I used to fish that lake all the time until a few years back. Couldn't ask for a better crappie lake. Closer to home then Red too. I agree with kosterguide, there are some very nice pike in there and although most perch I caught last year were smaller I have taken some decent perch too. kosterguide-- have you ever done any spearing up there?

no i havent but have thoght of it. I did not fish the lake much last winter as i was guideing on Red. I now live in Rochester, and am coming up for the weekend and i tell you if i can make it out there and the ice will hold me i will be fishing Pike on Larson. I have seen many 15 pound plus fish underneith of my hole not all that many on the top of the ice but there were there share as well.
