I laid two 48cm strips side x side and then zip tied them together to the center pole in my Trap Pro and just used it last night and was very impressed, there is more than enough light. I have more room now in front of me on the ice now that I don't need the propane lantern.

I brought them back and kept my HK lights. Pain to wire up the little wires, but they are nice. I would like a nice container (tube) to put them in to protect them (just in case). Someday I might find something that works good. But until then, I'll use them as is.
Not sure if your looking for a flexible tube or not but I just went to the hardware store and got some clear tubing, the ACE by my house sells it to the size you want. I capped off one end, slid the LED strips in the other end and basically made my own "rope" light. I don't mean to offend anyone but there is just no way the Gander ones are as bright as these. I have last years led rope lights from them and they will be used as "mood lighting" in the back of the house and the HK ones will be up front where it counts, the difference is signficant.

Totally agree. I installed mine last weekend. I used to use 1 string of Cabelas and 1 string of the clam lights. The HKs are soooo much brighter. Can't wait to put them to use.

Found some competition for the HK led. Go to CL and search best LED. I just picked up a 4 footer for $20 and compared it to the HK LEDs. Lets just say I wont be using the HK version.

I will post a picture later today. Very quality product in my opinion. Very nice guy to work with. The entire section is encapsulated(potted) with a nice connector on the end. He even provide a kit with each light set that inlcude aligator clips, zip ties, ETC. Yes I compared them side to side just a few minutes ago.

My suggestions are to use lots and lots of shrink tubing (1/8" and 3/32"), solder your terminals (alligator or spade) and use a short piece of slightly larger gauge wire wrapped with the tiny gauge wire of the lights at your terminal connections.
I also put a large plug of silicone around the leads where they come out of the lights.

Go to craigs list and search for "best led". Andy only leaves a phone number. They are nice pieces. They come with a nice haevy duty attached wire.

They come with a nice haevy duty attached wire. If they are in the same ballpark of brightness, that is a great improvement over the KingHong led's. Moe, if you get a chance to post some photos, that would be sweet!
