thinking about heading up to the pond this weekend, just wondering if its worth it, and current ice depths in isle?

There should a good 7-10" in the bays by the weekend.

thats a good sign ill prolly be able to get past malone then.... but they bitin'...

just looked at hunters point web cam and the ice aint looking to good up there yet.... darn wind just is being stubborn

i know its locked up in the bays but the main lake just keeps getting blown up... it prolly wont be till middle of the month now.. i mean the next few days show bitter cold, but the wind is 10-20... i mean the bays are going to have probably 12 inches of ice before the main lake even locks up haha i just wanna get out maybe drowned some shiners because i know those gators are in isle right now. its worth a shot...

going to be heading up tommarow and going to look for perch and pike probally start at wahkon bay and look around from there.

Just want to remind everyone to be cautious when fishing the bays with the main lake still open.You can find yourself doing some unwanted drifting/trolling.c63

there was about 12-13inches of ice on cove bay. there was a small truck out there also. the wind was brutal but tolerable in cove bay . Wahkon was like a white out and couldnt hardly see anything out there. simalar on isle bay

perch few small walleye.... so a few on the camera.. no takers...but mianly a lot of nice sized perch
