I was out there today and did pretty good on eyes and crappies. The ice is about 6-8". I was fishing around the island with all the crowds. I manage to catch 10 eyes, kept 4 18" and let the rest back down, my biggest was 23". It was a blast catching all them crappies. There was 100s of them, I kept 10 over 10". This is my best year on this lake. I had to move around alot (like 30 times tired) but well worth it.

i was out yesterday, there was about 6-8 iches of ice. We started out in 15 ft, and got one decent perch. We then moved to about 20 ft, and got 1 crappie a piece... we stayed from 1pm, to 12am.... I'm thinkin' we should have went deeper.

I was out yesterday, went up to the northern half to get away from the crowd. 6-8 inches of ice everywhere i went. Not much happening by us, caught only 3 small crappies from about 4-8 PM fishing about 18-20 FOW. Judging by Lunker's report, sounds like the crowd is worth it!

Is there a place to access the lake in the north end, or did you walk all the way up?

Yea there is a spot that you can get out there. If you go staraight instead of going into the park where the landing is, you'll see it on your left. It doesnt look like much, but there is usually a couple cars there and you can see the sled tracks.
