We didnt have any strong winds until this morning. SSW now which shouldnt be a big issue. The winds will switch to the NNW later and blow pretty good, a test for the new ice sheet

Actually the wind was blowing hard from the south starting Monday night late. From my sources it sounds like the river ice to 4 mile bay held up pretty good in the wind so, if we can get it to calm down, with the cold temps moving in there might be an oppotunity to get further out in 4 mile bay on decent ice. Stay tuned!

Well today the winds went all over. Broke up the ice on the southeast side of the bay. Long point to Swift. Ice went away 100 to 200FT. and came back. Not good to see but it is only Dec.2nd. Norm is 10th -15th for safe fishing in the big pond.
