Frances had a guy fishing the west end out past the bull rushes a ways. The whole lake looked to be covered.
Reeds had open water monday,50-75 yards out from the access, otherwise covered,be carefull there.
Madison was still wide open in the narrows monday also.
Good luck guys!I'll be out there soon.

Was out on Washington Last evening. Mud Bay had a consistent 4.5-5inches. Fishing still slow.

As of Sunday the bay in front of the access was froze over with about 2 and a half inches, there was two guys out from the access maybe a hundred yards on Sat. The main part of the lake finally froze sat night with the exception of one spot in towards the middle and about the size of a football field, the lake as a whole froze over rather different this year in comparison to most, I'd be checking ice conditions everywhere if you go. Haven't been by there since Sunday so hopefully with the cooler nights we've been having it's helping a little.

Drove by Fox this afternoon, only light ice and open water. Also by Mazaska and walked out a bit from the 21 access. Didn't have an auger or pick to check the ice though. There was open water in the very middle of the lake.

Anyone know how long the ice has been in the bay off the 21 access (Mazaska)? Last year that area put on good ice fast after the whole bay froze.

I think I'll be heading to Francis Saturday morning. I'll be in the green otter lodge with the iceleaders sticker on it. If there are any FMers out there stop by and say hi.

Mazaska was one of the last to freeze over in the faribault area i have watched.. Was open much later then expected.. Don't know how it is now but keep that in mind and good Luck..!
