I have a question. My wife works every third weekend and I might want to find a sleeper at the last minute to take the kids on an overnight this year. Has anyone tried to find a house at last minute and if so could I work a deal?

I would book it earlier than later. In my experience you will have overall better luck the earlier you book it. Even though all the houses should be "on fish" everyone knows some houses are better than others. So those houses might be already taken. If your looking for a house, I would just call and let them know of a weekend that you are looking at and see what they say.

What lake are you looking to spend the night on?

not sure just thinking if at the last minute I might want to take the kids foran overnight trip.

The sooner you book the better! My house is booked for January 9th and 10th already.
