Kirk and joe went out this morning. They caught 3 one 19 one 17 1/4 and one under 17. They also lost one at the hole. They will be spending the whole day out there and part of tomorrow morning. They are fishing 7 feet of water just off the last sandbar in front of agassiz bait shop.

Well good for Kirk and Joe

Others are also finding easy keeper sized walleye in the ten foot range along the baselines of subtle rock/gravel reefs. We are talking those little one foot humps or little hooks you can see on the Lakemaster map.

Best presentation has been the old one two with a dead sticked minnow along side of a vigorously rattled and thumped JB Rattling Varmit, Buckshot spoon and even a hard snapping of the Lindy Flying spoons all tipped with gutted minnows or minnow heads.

Pike have been picking up speed and locking onto flashed spoons such as Red Eye Wigglers, Mepps Cyclone and the good old Sutton or Dr. Spoons.

As for the Crappies a few have bumped into them fishing walleye, typical early season dirty water crappies are running high in the water column and responding to ever so gentle presentations.

Ice conditions are ranging from 6-10 inches across the lake with little consistency. Mainly from my observation the north shore is a bit sketchy with many cracks ridges working as the ice finds it place for the winter. Take your time and be careful.

Good Luck and enjoy the outdoors.
