I'm going to try make it to the Sturgeon GTG this year for sure. Other than that, I'll hit the opener on the Croix as usual.

Spring/May 09 - same thing I did for 08 2 days after the opener. Isla Mujeres Mexico! Marlin, Sailfish and Dorado! Best fishing trip I've ever been on.
Opener though will be tho same old Mille Lacs thing I'm sure.

I'm looking to try the White Iron chain of lakes near Ely for walleye/pike opener. Usually my group goes to Eagle Lake in Ontario, but that didn't work out this year (their walleye opener is a week later). Can anyone tell me anything about Farm, S. Farm, Garden, or White Iron Lakes? Any previous success, or pointers for that matter? Anything will help.
