I'm looking for a recoil off of a 71' skandic ( one lung 338cc ) rotex , I know there are 2 styles 3 bolt and 4 bolt . I need a 4 bolt , can anyone help please !!!

Google used snowmobile parts...You'll have a tough time for that vintage but someone has to have something for you. Also, check the Doo Talk forum for other suggestions.

The pulley and pawls are readily available, or did you need the whole starter, cover and all?

mainly i need the cover , where the spring hooks into the cover on mine its wore out and the spring slips. i believe thats what goes wrong with the majority of them !!!

Jeez, that is tough, the place i usually go is to mann's up I35 just off the mora exit for parts like that. Maybe others will get you a good lead on the part too. Hope you get it going soon!!

oh it's going alright ! runs like a raped ape not very fast but pulls like a tractor ! ya just have to start it by winding a rope around it (that sucks) other than the recoil it's in excellent condition my father-in-law bought it brand new always kept inside and covered . It's my fish house puller 8'x10' on skids.
