Here's a couple good quotes I found on the Web that sums it up pretty well. If you have time to whine and complain about something then you have the time to do something about it. ~Anthony J. D'Angelo, The College Blue Book and another by Benjamin Franklin: Constant complaint is the poorest sort of pay for all the comforts we enjoy. I would not want to be lied to about land either, but just remember to be thankful for the opportunities we have to hunt, and if somethings not right, try to do the best you can to fix it.

I find it funny that you are complaining about somebody complaining!!

Ha ha, Yeah I did think about that, but I had to bring it up after reading all the various negative posts this year. And you see I was doing something to try to settle it down a little because this site and hunting in general should be an enjoyable, not one we have to listen to all the unnecessary negative things going on. So get out there and hunt and enjoy it! smile

honestly how is anyone on here complaining they are stating that they have gone through some incidents that can be a big problem. We have had people trespass on our land but luckly i have never had to deal with someone telling me to get off my own land but i couldnt imagine how much it would tork me off! also to have someone tell you to get off a WL or any area like that is ridicolus it is your right and that person is trying to take it away from you i think that is more than just a "bad day of hunting." O and you say be thankful for the opportunities we have to hunt well some people are having other people try to take that opportunity away from them! honestly i dont see the complaining in that its a problem worth talking about. And to me it sounds like he did take the time to do something about it so i dont see where your great quotes mean much...

You know the best thing about fishing?

Nobody owns the water or the launches. Nobody owns that reef on the lake. If you want to fish in Minnesota you don't have any issues with finding water soft or hard. That is definitely the plus for fishing.

I wasn't whining just stating a fact about what happened. I can't imagine owning the land and getting told to get off but I'm not surprised in the least. I hunt private land for deer up by East Grand Forks. The owner pulled up on the field and talked to a guy that was out hunting on his land the day after we we're done rifle hunting for the season. He asked him if he had gotten permission to hunt the land. The guy told him that he had talked to the landowner and said his name the day before and had gotten permission. The landowner then said something along the lines of well I'm so and so and I don't remember talking to you yesterday so I'm pretty sure I didn't give you permission. The guy left pretty quickly after that. He generally doesn't call the sheriff for trespassing for the concerns that will start reprisals. He just gets them off of the land.

Just goes to show you that some people have pretty big kahunas. The problem is that some of the time these guys get away with this kind of stuff. Probably makes them do it even more.
