Has anyone crossed big bay with a 4wheeler or sled from Everett to McKinley yet? Average inches of ice? Any big fish houses going up on McKinley or is it all portables?

I went out as far as Birch Island yesterday with my ATV.
5" to 6" of solid ice where I was.
There were a couple od smaller permanants out by McKinley and in the Narrows.
Lots of ice heaves forming all over the lake so be careful out there!!

Bob,
Very slow bite where we were fishihg.
Got 3 total. One 19 incher caught by my partner. Missed a lot of VERY light bites!
Going out again tomorrow.

Cliff, thanks partner, Cliff and I were fishing when the 19" was hooked. Actually Cliff drilled a hole right over the fish, as soon as we drilled and put the Marcum down there it was, dropped the minnow and bang. I do believe he could find a walleye in my bath tub. If you ever get a chance to go with him "go for it" he is fun to fish with, and I always learn something new from him.
