Hey Kevfish, you and the "Ghost" will have plenty of time to fish with each after I get done beating you in fantasy football. I am afraid you got it all wrong. The only thing you will be twist tieing is lures!!

I have fished with this gentleman for about 15 years. He is generally quite truthful. However, WE did not catch walleyes.

I, however, did catch 3. Yes, this was more than he caught last year!

Getting ripped by your buddy on his very first post........priceless grin

76...I am sure that kevfish and I will have plenty of time after he gets to put his name on the trophy this year. After that happens we can definetly give you advice on ffball and fishing..thats only if you can manage to get in and out of your new ice shanty?! you might have to twist tie that shut huh? wink

What's up with the invite to snipemaster? I actually buy you a premium Christmas gift, trying to butter you up, and preference goes to an out-of-stater?

BTW - I just bought 1,000 spikes. How cold do you have to keep them so they don't hatch? If they do hatch, I guess kevfish can use the flies!!!!

If you bought Euro Larvae, solid container with wood shavings in the refridgerator bottom shelf. Should stay good. Waxies are best left at room temp of 65 or 70 degrees. What really works good is the Jumbo Bait pucks. They make big ones now that work great in the fridge!

Thanks muc, however, I tried the bait in the refridgerator idea 22 years ago shortly after marriage. Have not tried it since! I had to double bag the spikes just to get them home from scheels.

I'll try the garage, it stays about 35 degrees.
PS (my waxies are hid in a closet)

Just don't give him his gift and butter him up at the same time. sick
It isn't the fact I'm from out of state but that I catch fish, I also give you a reason to get out and play. hehehe
If you would just build an ice house like kevfish I'd be nicer to you too. Maybe he needs a nice fish for the wall of the shack? hmmm...

Red Lake? Well, I've never went there to not catch fish before. I'll have to see if I can swing it. Anyplace has to be better then Mille Lacs. Saw some good reports from up by Alexandria too but haven't looked recently if anyone was still doing much there. Heck I did good this summer when I was put near some fish. You guys might be shocked to see what I can do on the ice if there are actually fish near.

btw If the spikes freeze solid don't worry too much. I've kept them that way and just taken out what I thought I'd use that day. Those little maggots don't move once they hit cold water anyways and they stayed on nearly as well. Oh and I looked at Pahoja today. 5 inches of good ice but nobody who was talking had caught anything, I have a feeling others were catching something because they didn't flip their traps. Alvin was rotten looking with open areas and some new ice. Some people were in a place I wouldn't go for at least another week or two. (note: for others reading this don't try to find these lakes in SW MN, they are not there but back in the land of waterguy's miss spent "youth")

Guaranteed fish at red lake!!!! walleyes and if lucky some of da biggest crappies you have ever seen. May be the year to go with gas as cheap as it is. We could even bring waterboy with us since he has da bait already. My brother may go that weekend also in his house so we could show him how to catch wild fish that are not in a tank or fenced in. lolol
