I fished there yesterday from 3-7pm and got 4 crappies 8.5-9" and 3 sunfish 7.5-8". There was 4" of ice where I fished and I was in 10 fow. I used red glow Fatboys tipped with pin minnows and waxies. I did not stay too long, just wanted to get out for the first time and try new Humminbird Ice 35 and king ding led lights.

You guys are making it very tempting I want a solid 5" of ice but it sound like it might hit that mark here by this weekend if it already isn't.

Good report hanronson!

That is a good area to fish!

Between the shoreline next to the A-frame and where I fished in 10fow there was 4" of good ice everywhere I drilled. "Should" be around 5" by this weekend.

Looking for direction to the access to the A frame. I usually fish Pancake Island on South Center but I am unable to park the 1/2 ton pickup on the shore line. I will be coming from west on Hwy 8 from the cities. Any help would be appreciated. Looking to head out there Saturday. You can email me at yellokong@msn.com

Stop in at Frankies in Chisago City and they will tell you how to get close to the A-Frame.

Fished out from the A frame today from about 4-9pm. Fishing was slow, fish were there but very finicky. Caught about 15 crappies between 2 of us, nothing over 9". Ice was about 5-6". Fished in 11fow.

Is there an easier way to get to the A-frame then pulling from the
access? I have a fishtrap & do not want to pull a mile.
To old for that.

Stop in at Frankies Bait Shop in Chisago City and they will tell you how to park close to the A-Frame. Its a small area to park and I don't want to post it online.

bring your ice cleats, this snow will probably help but when i was out there on saturday there was a lot of very slippery glare ice.
