When I go to LOTW I like to bring my own equipment and fish without the use of a guide/resort. We usually stay at a hotel in Baudette or Warroad, but I am looking for something a little closer - any suggestions on a cheaper room around the morris point/pine island area?

I've rented a cabin at Morris Pt resort fairly cheap the last few years. They're pretty old school with dark paneling and minimal bells and whistles, but you can ride your wheeler/sled right out the front door, and grab a burger/beer in the bar afterward, which is really nice.

zipple bay has great prices on there cabins.
