I did a search and couldn't find out who does the blade sharpening? Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Does anyone know if there is a different blade assembly for the hand auger and power auger? I tried the hand auger attachment arm the other night and couldn't cut for [PoorWordUsage]. It never seemed to get started. Any help on this would be great.
Thanks,
Dodger

Just a heads up, the Nils hand auger is a two handed motion, one in a little circle, the other in a larger circle. That might be your problem?

It takes a little time to get used to, but once you have it down, it's a breeze to make swiss cheese out of early ice.

There is two different cutting heads, but I don't think that is the issue. I have the standard cutting head on mine, and it cuts just as great in either the hand or powered configuration. The center point blade serves to drill a point for the main blade. I don't have exp using this one....

Sounds like you need a sharpening.

I don't know where you purchased it but I have heard of some that were sold in the back room of Cabelas in the bargin cave that were returns that had bent auger shafts. I don't know this is your problem but if the tip is new, it could be the issue.
