Heading to the area this weekend, I've seen reports for pokeg and other larger lakes that aren't too promising. Anyone been by Moose and seen anyone out? I was hoping to try it out for the first time. Was on a small metro lake recently, had to be cautious though.

I caught a few, 6 small walleye and one pike all around sunset. Nothing spectacular but it was fun. There were a number of people set up straight out from the launch.

i'm new at computers and i'm new to the grand rapids area. Would anyone be willing to break the oath and tell me where to go fishing for walleye's and at what depth there getting them at? I,m collecting u.i. and have way to much time on my hands so the wife bought me a portable fish house and told me to go fishing. Went out on moose lake 3 times and got skunked 3 times. thanx

emptystringer welcome to FM and hopefully you can change your name If you go out of the public access/campground on the east side and go straight out you will see a few fish house's that are on propeller bar. It is a good starting point and if you look at a lake map you will figure out were everyone is in relation to the bar. I had good success with a Lindy Flyer in the firetiger pattern and perch pattern Kastmaster. I like silver shiners and use just the heads on my jigging spoons. On my deadstick I used a pink and glow deamon. I will usually fish anywhere from 14 to 18 feet of water. Just to forwarn you the bite window is short and might only last 10 to 15 min. so you have get your rig down when they are biting.

Welcome to FM, empty.
Hmmm, Lisa, you and that Jim fella sure think alike. Too bad he gets to test his skills more often than you.

Too bad he gets to test his skills more often than you. Some of us don't have to work weekends and get out and practice what we preach
